Tulum + Gold Tips

I adore my Tulum color from Cult Nails!  In really bright light I can see the little gold sparkles in the bottle but I can't see them on my nails.  So I thought I'd try to add some more gold shimmer.  Here's Tulum straight up with SV on top.  It's a few days old at this point.  I put this on after a string of failed attempts with other colors Friday evening.  What a gorgeous fallback color to have!
So I thought maybe an added sparkley gold would be really awesome.  So I put Nicole's The Next CEO on top, the only gold polish I have, and well, you couldn't tell there was Tulum underneath!  I could've had the afore-blogged Revlon Lava on under there and you wouldn't know!  Enter the plan to make a Fenchie out of these two...
I'm liking it!  And doncha just love the flowers on Magnolia/Tulip Tree and the super green of the lawn?  Spring is my very most favorite season!
I do wish the gold in the Tulum would come out to play a bit more...  but hey now it's ME who gets to play more!  :)  To that end, does anyone else know of a gold shimmer that goes on sheerly?
Thanks lovies!!!

Springtime Polish

All of this crazy warm weather is making me want to abandon all of my favorite fabby drabby fall and winter polishes and get some brights on my nails!  So these are all the colors I have going on today!
Revlon's Top Speed Cheers made a quick turnaround from the Bacon nails to the base of this mani! Then Nicole's Blue Lace, Sally Hanson Xtreme Wear Mellow Yellow and lots of Sally Hanson Insta-Drys: Lively Lilac, Lickety-Split Lime, Snappy Sorbet and Instant Iris brighten the tips.  Bottle #2 of Seche Vite shines it all up.
The orange "Snappy Sorbet" tip used to be "Mellow Yellow".  But for some reason my husband HATED that tip being yellow!???????   And since its the finger with our rings on it... I moved the yellow over one.  LOL  Hilarity is never in short supply around here.
Spring has certainly sprung on my fingernails!

Mom's a Chrome Convert!!!

My Mom is over for a visit today. She NEVER has her fingernails polished. Never even had a manicure! Can you even imagine?!? Well my blog wore her down somehow 'cuz SOMEHOW I was putting polish on her nails SOMEHOW today! And she LOVES them!!! Color me thrilled!
She gravitated toward a silvery color for a base...

So we put on Nicole's Chrome For the Holidays first which has a bit of lavender in it. See the butterfly? Initially she wanted that stamp on all fingers... but I thought it might be a bit hard to see. So we went with a floral konad on the others. It's lines are a bit thicker so you can see it more easily on this background. Now there's a butterfly in the garden! :)

OPI Deer Valley Spice is the Konad polish. The only symmetry that she wanted was No symmetry!

She is loving it. So fun! Seche Vite is glossing it up even more on top :)
